Support & Facilities

There are a host of services, facilities, and groups available in and around Walkinstown, which many people possibly aren’t even aware of. Here are just a few, but please let us know if we’ve left any out.

LIBRARY

Open Monday- Saturday, the library provides a number of services beyond book lending – study spaces, printing, copying, scanning, book clubs, as well as many activities for children.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

Situated at 131A Walkinstown Avenue, the centre plays hosts to a number of events such as coffee mornings and regular vinyl markets. May host regular local produce markets in the future.

D12 MEN'S SHED

The Men’s Shed situated in the Green Kitchen is a friendly place for men of all ages & backgrounds to come together & do a variety of activities like woodworking, socialise, art, drink tea etc.

LOCAL DRUGS & ALCOHOL TASK FORCE

Linked in with the local community, the D12LDTF supports projects in Dublin 12 that provide local daycare drug treatment and rehabilitation services to people of all ages.

WINDMILL BRING CENTRE

Open Monday – Saturday, the centre accepts Paper, Cans, Cardboard, Tetra Pak, Plastics, Textiles, Batteries, Light bulbs, Glass, Flat glass, Cooking oil, Waste engine oil, Green waste, Small electrical appliances

WALK

Located on Long Mile Road, WALK is an organisation aimed at empowering people with disabilites through employment, training, community living and various community initiatives.
